Bedside Manner FAIL

I want to start by saying, i hate the phrase FAIL, like really hate it. But here it is needed.

So as you all know, i went to the dentist a WHOLE 2ish weeks ago cause i had a HORRIBLE toothache.
REAL BAD.

Anyway, so the dentist is not covered under Medicare. Which is basically kinda like the health care that Obama just bought into the US, i guess. Anyway, its expensive. Like real expensive. That's part of the reason why i hadn't gone in so long. Another part is because they suck.

So, the pain continued. It made me want to LIVE on pain pills, not the addicted type, but the 'i need to go to work and sleep and eat and without the pills, i physically can NOT do these things'. In fact i had to leave work early a few times because i just couldn't concentrate on what i had in front of me.

So i made another appointment. I had gone to a second dentist as i said here and they were all like, it could be this, it could be that. But they wanted to fix it under local. Now, i can't do that. I hear things and see things and i freak the fuck out. My whole body was shaking uncontrollably and they were like, nah, not going to work.
So i went back to the original place.

Now, one would assume, a dentist would know what the hell the problem is. I mean your mouth ain't that big. Doctors, they are a different story, but dentists, there ain't that much for them to think about.

I went in there thinking, i would leave with LESS pain. LESS, not none, i understand that things take time, so LESS would be good. Being able to touch my face when I'm in pain, i would like that. Being able to keep my eye open, when the pain happens, that would be great too.

Yeah, no.
What i got was yelled at, more pain and no conformation about what the actual problem is!!

Lets look at BEDSIDE MANNER:
Bedside manner is a term describing how a health care professional handles a patient, and is essential in affecting the doctor-patient relationship. A good bedside manner is typically one that reassures and comforts the patient while remaining honest about a diagnosis. Poor bedside manner leaves the patient feeling unsatisfied, worried, frightened, or alone. Bedside manner becomes difficult when a health care professional explains to the patient the true diagnosis, while keeping the patient from being alarmed.

Poor bedside manner leaves the patient feeling unsatisfied, worried, frightened, or alone.

When suggesting a fix, maybe don't try the same thing as i had two weeks ago, that i know didn't work, cause the pain got worse. Worried.

When i say, I'm scared that that pain will come back, AND I AM SHAKING UNCONTROLLABLY, don't say it maybe will, cause i don't know what the problem is. Frightened.

Don't say, in my 30 years of being a dentist i have never seen something like this before. unsatisfied

Don't say, if it was me, i would have come back sooner. You are a dentist, you charge people SHIT LOADS, of course you would come back sooner, YOU CAN AFFORD TOO!! Alone.

Wow, good work there, jerk face.

Ps. Just so you all know, the dentist i went to was BONDI BEACH DENTAL and i think my dentist name was Dr Sih, but not sure, cause he never introduced himself to me. Another thing that deserves a good job, jerk.

PPS. I have an itch on my lip, but i can't scratch it cause its still numb. Annoying.

Can we just skip today?

So i woke up feeling fine today and now i want it to be over already.

I don't know why my mood changed so drastically, but meh.

Here is what has happened to me so far...

~ Paid rent - i hate paying rent, but i also hate that i want to own a house. Why can't we just be given one house each, WHEREVER, and that's all you can have. No more of this 'i own 16 houses and i don't have work cause I'm a gazillionaire' BS, and no more of this 'i wish i even could afford a house'. Everyone has one and only one, and then when your inheritance gives you, your parents, you choose which you want, and give the other to someone else. I think it works. Government, go do this now please.

~ Went to the post office. - i hate post offices. I esp hate the one in my building. The people that work there are so rude. Seriously people, if you don't want to work in retail, do something else, don't be all rude to the people giving you business. Ps. My dad is a postman, so my hatred for the post office doesn't continue onto postmen. I would totally love to be a post(wo)man.

~ The STUPID train barriers closed on my legs. - Now, I'm small. I only weight 50kgs (give or take) and I'm not all the tall. And i just know that tomorrow if i don't wake up with broken legs, (yes, it could totally take all day to break) i will have two massive bruises on my legs. AWESOME.

~ Patrick Swayze died. - God, why did you have to take this good good man? Why? I think i am sadder about this then all the other celeb deaths that have happened lately. Farrah made me sad, Micheal, i was just a little meh about, (totally the first public admittance of that), but Patrick? I LOVED Dirty Dancing and i probably wont be able to watch it again.

~ A stupid person called me for HELP and then MUTED me - I HATE that. I don't care if while i am working on the systems that you talk to someone else, just don't MUTE me. Its just rude. Never expect me to help you again rude person. (I may or may not have used the C word about this person after they ended the call. And i NEVER use the C word). Why do people make me do this?

So, now, i am 30 mins into my work day, and it needs to end now, cause the mood will just get worse and worse and i will get the stern 'Renee' from my boss which means he doesn't like my attitude, but its totally not my fault, it all the crap that happened which i had no control over.

So boss man, (he hates when he is called that, so take that!), i have no control over my attitude today. Or the amount of work that gets done, cause I'm in a mood. No control what so ever....

Oh and SPELL CHECK CREATOR PERSON, MEH and GAZILLIONAIRE ARE words. Add them to your stupid brain.

***Update: just so everyone knows, this is NOT PMS related at all either. ****

**Update #2 : I have this thing on my lip that is like a pimple but its not, and its PAINFUL. Its also not a coldsore, cause i dont get them. I think i might be dying***

But im not primary school kid!!

I went to the doctors today, and i haven't been in many years, so it was obviously bad.

But, I'm hoping that i can get a second opinion, cause while i liked/didn't hate what the doctor had to say, i think i got my little sister sick too, and we have both had this before, so its kinda odd that we both got it a second, cause its supposed to be a once in life type of thing.

Its CHICKEN POX.

.....Yes, i know that I'm not 5 years old, but it was still diagnosed as that.

So anyway, here are the symptoms of Chicken Pox and the purple are the ones that i have.

Fever ~ But its winter and i thought the whole going from cold outside to heated inside was doing it.
Headaches ~ But i usually get these all the time, so not a huge deal
Backache ~ I was sleeping on a fold out bed, so i blamed that.
Loss of appetite
Itchy, red rash which soon develops into blister-like sores - mild to severe itching ~ I just thought they were bug bites until they tripled (and ps. not blisters yet)

So i only didn't have one out of five, BUT i don't usually eat that much anyway, so to not eat all of my lunch/dinner or any of my breakfast, not a "thing".

Anyway, like i was saying, i wasn't sure whether i had chicken pox before or not, so i called, (alright, i msged them), to not only find out if i had had it before, but to also warn them, cause i was just visiting them on the weekend, (hence the fold out bed) and while it was confirmed, I also found out that my little sister, also found that she had spots... Uh oh...

BUT!!!

Here's the thing, we have both had it before!!

So either my doctor who said, and i quote "If its not the chicken pox, i have no idea WHAT it is", is wrong and its not that, and well, good luck to me.
OR, he is right and its very very odd, that two people who had the 'pox' got it a second time. (Yes, i know that its possible to get it twice, but two people in the same family to get it twice? Odd).

I find out tomorrow, or i don't find out and just assume*.

Either way, i have to stay away from work til Monday. Pregnant lady at work, and i don't want her child to be all misformed cause of me.

So after the doctor gives me my diagnosis, I will update. The sister is going to the doctors tomorrow too.

*Please note, that i went through a low blood sugar period where i was fainting a LOT and i had a blood test and the doctor 'forgot' to check the blood sugarness of the blood, so hopefully this (different) doctor isn't like that one...

***UPDATE***
So i got a call from the doctor (a day after he said he would get the results), and its NOT chicken pox. When i asked what else it could be..??
HE HAD NO FU(*ING IDEA.
BUT!!! (and this is the best bit)
He said I was fine to go back to work.

So lets recap.
He doesn't know what i have.
He is not aware if im contagious, (ps. i am cause my little sister has it too).
BUT He is happy for me to go back to work.

Nuff said, im going to see another doctor tomorrow.
I have until monday off.

***UPDATE #2***

So i went to a second doctors and she agreed that it WAS chicken pox...
But that i should still have the rest of the week off.
My sister went to the doctors and hers are apparently a viral rash..
So now im really confused.
And i CAN NOT WAIT to go back to work. I know, sad right?

You ain't no friend of mine!

I hate parts of being a female.

I dont know if everyone feels like this, but here is my rant of what i hate about it.

I hate my monthly 'friend'.
I know for sure that if someone I knew, (as in an actual friend), who made me be in this much pain on a monthly on basis, that they would definitely not be my friend for more then a month or two. 100 and 50% for sure!!

I hate that I get over overwhemingly emotional cause of this 'friend'. I just saw the ad on this blog ( i was blog stalking), AND IT MADE ME CRY. YES CRY!!! Not bawling cry, but there were tears. I hate that. That crying over dancing people ads is not me.

I hate that I lose my patience when my 'friend' is due to visit. In my job i need a lot of patience. A lot. And when i have less patient then normal, i get called a bitch. Now, cause my department is now a group of guys, (some with partners, some without), they just think I'm being a bitch, they don't understand. I hate that.

I hate that i literally can not move in the first day or two without being in overwhelming pain. Yes, i am being serious and am not exaggerating. HOWEVER, i do like that this means my husband is super nice to me, and i *sometimes* get breakfast in bed, but most of the time, all meals on the couch. That's a good part, but in no way makes up for the pain.

I hate that my emotional state causes me to think, that he is thinking, what is it in for him, and then second guess the niceness that he is doing for me...

I hate when my 'friend' visits on the weekend, cause my weekend is dead then. Completely dead. At least when i get this visitor during the week, i can do one of two things, either call in sick to work, (which to be honest, i have only done once or twice for this reason), or go to work and feel and look and act so sick, and weak, (cause i get all so weak that even if the pain allowed me to be able to move proper, my body literally would barely be able to move me.), so i get all the are you ok's? and do you need any help etc etc, and its great! I also get to dose up on nurofen plus's and that's good too. I feel guilty about dosing up at home, cause i don't need need to make the pain go away cause its not like I'm going to be going anywhere...

That is what i hate.

I want MONEY!! Lots of MONEY!

I hate money. Really I do. Money is what is wrong with the world and what is definitely wrong with my life.

I have many *read 4* credit cards, a loan and then rent and general bills. Now, while that doesn't seem like a lot, (or does it?). It IS!

All of my credit cards are generally at the credit limit, or at most, $100 from the limit. And I know that it is stupid but I just barely pay the minimum repayments each month, (well, I pay it weekly, but all added up, most of them are only just over the minimum).

The loan is paid off weekly at a set amount, and I sometimes, *read once or twice * have paid extra on it.

I really really don't like having this debt, really. But at the same time, I don't know what I would do when it is paid off.

I could probably afford to pay off more each week, but as soon as it gets to the point of about $500 or so under the limit, then I (or the husband, more him then me) see something that we 'need' and back closer to the limit it is. Currently, its a snow trip. 5 months ago, it was a trip to Japan. Now, as much as I love the traveling and the 'adventure', I think I would rather just have no debt.

I don't know. I think that money and my debt is something that I love and hate at the same time. I would love to save all that extra paid on interest to buy my house or something exciting that is not nothing, but I don't .

Like I said. I hate money.

But I would like some more of it please. : )

Wash, Don't beep!!

I have been up since 8.30, and that was after going to bed at about 2am. Why am I up at this stupid hour, are you asking?
Well, its because my stupid dishwasher.

It was GREAT, when I moved into my house a little under 6 months ago. The last place I was in, had a dishwasher as well, but it was an older one, that was a little crappy. Bigger, yes, but crappier nonetheless. This place in in, was a hotel that got converted into apartments, so the kitchen is small but a little fancy, and who doesn't need fanciness in their lives!!

So back to the dishwasher, its one of those, is it a drawer or is it a dishwasher type deals, like integrated into the cabinets, and draw like, so hidden. Even though, this seems cool, keep reading, it adds to the badness of it.

Now, when I moved in, this was cool. We only have a really small sink, so the dishwasher was a needed, not just wanted, thing. The dishwasher didn't come with a manual, but it was pretty straight forward to use, so no fuss no muss.

Like I said earlier, it was fine up until recently. Sometimes, rarely, but sometimes, it would continually beep and have a red light, now, considering it had a green light and didn't beep when it was working fine, one would assume that this meant that there was a problem, as I did, so I just turned it off and back on again, not at the power, (being inside a drawer, I had NFI where it was plugged into, so that would have been tricky)., but just at the button on it. It seemed to do the trick of stopping the beeping...

Anyway, lately it had taken to beeping and making a funny noise in the middle of the cycle, and not continuing it. Annoying, cause A) the dishes didn't get fully clean and B) I had to wash them in the tiny sink.

So I tried to get in touch with the real estate ( the 'bliss' of being a renter), but that was an ordeal in itself!! We signed the lease at a different real estate, and the real estate that we are leasing from doesn't actually have a website, or a way to get their contact details through the interweb! Irritating much?!?! (Also, the lease, own ONLY info re; the real estate, only has the ABN and no contact details.)

So I asked the husband to do it, cause, he had contacted them once before, its been about 2, maybe 3 weeks and im still waiting... (for him to do it, not for them to get back to him).

ANYWAY, I just go off on tangents don't I?

That leads me to lately, for some reason the dishwasher has taken to only allowing certain cycles to go all the way through, which is fine, cause it washes the dishes, but not so fine, cause about 10 mins after the cycle finishes, the dishwasher feels unloved and whether there are dishes in there or not, decides that it needs some attention and just beeps. Keep in mind, the cycle went all the way through and the washer had been off for a good 10 mins if not more.

AGGRAVATING!! Cause it wasn't just a matter of turning it off and then going back to whatever you were doing, it likes to play games, The whole attention thing. Once you have turned it off, a few mins later, when you are going back to what you are doing, beep beep beep, again getting up and turning it off. I had worked out a combination of buttons which made it turn off maybe the 3rd or 4th time that it beeped, so I was usually the one getting up and turning it off. The beeping didn't bother the husband as much.

This leads me to this morning. Going back to the whole being up til 2am thing. Just so you know its Sunday, and while I don't usually go to sleep that early, 2am is pretty late for me, when I was just at home chancing up on the US TV shows. So I get woken up by the lights at, I don't know what time. Husband has a habit of falling asleep on the couch and while that doesn't usually bother me, (cause I do it too sometimes, only he wakes me up to go to bed), he leaves all the lights and TV on when he does it. So I get woken up by that, but only enough so that I yell at him to come to bed, it seemed to do the job, cause he got up right away and turned everything off. (Sometimes, I have to get out of bed to get him up and then I get cross).

So I get woken up again, this time, I looked at the clock, cause I was pissed. 8.30AM, and this time it was because of the dishwasher and its annoying beeping. Let me just repeat, 8.30AM. I don't even get up that early for work.
So because im tired, im cranky and have less patience for the damn beeping. I end up sitting next to the dishwasher for 30 mins!!! By this time, I am really cranky and crying, cause I am tired and just want to go to bed, and the damn thing, just wont stop!! (Ps. Husband was asleep the whole time, and only woke up to tell me to come back to bed...)

It ended up that after me getting upset at the husband and him getting upset at me, not wanting to come back to bed, and him then realising I was CRYING that he turned the power off to the kitchen... Now this is both bad and good. Bad being, the fridge, full of food, is in the kitchen. Good, being that the beeping has stopped!!

**UPDATE**

Turning the power off did nothing!! It stopped the beeping while the power was off, however, about 30 mins after it was turned back on, beep-beep beep-beep...

Know it alls

I had training at work today.

For junk i can't talk about.

Scratch that, For BORING junk that i can't talk about.

Training is normally fun. At my work, its all about attitude, so they make training like that too... USUALLY.

Today, was:

Trainer: ' I need you all to log into the computer and read this web page and then tell me when you are done'

12 pages later and done. That's it. Reading from a web page. Excitement galore.

Now, every one has different reading style and speed, right? So its super annoying when someone who thinks they know everything about everything, gets ahead and says, 'oh that's great, this feature is good because of blah blah blahitty blah. I'm so so smart, cause i know everything', or something like that....

I can not stand people who think they know everything about whatever is being talked about, no matter what it is.

I wanted to yell so much in this training, cause almost everything the trainer was saying was wrong.

Why do people think that they are in training for?

Seriously, it annoys the crappola out of me.

Oh and PS. when I say thinks they know everything, they might know some special things about the feature, I wouldn't know whether they are talking about a correct apical thing, cause I don't spend my time outside of work researching geeky things.

I think that i have new neighbours...

Now i live in a pretty fancy building, ( well for my area). Myself and my husband are the least 'posh' in the building. I know this from the looks that i get in the lifts..

Anyway, back to my neighbours.
I dont really talk to my neighbours.
But i know that they are new.

How do i know this, you ask?

Well, i know cause at about the same time every night, ( usually 11.30 or later), loud music starts playing... loud repetivte annoying music...
RIGHT NEXT TO MY BEDROOM WALL.

Even though i have not met my 'new' neighbours, i already hate them.

Ps. They also play the same annoying music early on the weekend.

I only wish my neighbours were like the show.

Sorry, did you not see I was reading that?

So I travel a little for work, just two train trips and its not long at all. But I need stuff to do on the train, and I like to keep up with the news, so I daily buy the newspapers, and I previously, bought magazines on a tri weekly, (thats three times a week, right?). I didn't mind the cost and it gave me entertainment and respite during the day at work.

I have since given up my magazine habit, and have saved a bunch of money, BUT, thats not what this post is about.

When I get to work, because my trip is so short, I sometimes, haven't read all of the paper/magazine. I keep it open on my desk and when I get a chance check it out. The thing that annoys me, is when people walk past my desk, and see something in the paper or magazine, ( from now on, lets just call it the paper), and then they come on over and PRETEND THEY NEED TO TALK TO ME ABOUT RANDOMNESS, and read my paper. Annoying, no?

The thing that is worst then that is when I get pulled back to work, and random person changes the page and continues reading the rest of the paper...!!!!!

Now come on, that is just freaking rude.

I have no problem if you want to read it after I have finished it, none at all. In fact, im just going to throw it away, so I don't care what is done with it, but while I am reading something that I purchased, its not cool to read it firstly, over my shoulder, and then to change the page of what I am reading...?!?!?!?!?

It just makes me so so cross.

Just stop it.
